How long, and how it should sound
Two minutes suits most songs for a dad. If it will play during a wedding — before the father–daughter dance, or after the toasts — 60 seconds to two minutes keeps the room with you. Heartfelt is the usual mood; Funny if his running jokes are the heart of it.
When and how to give it
- Play it when he can’t leave the room: after dinner, in the car, or on your wedding day before your dance.
- If he lives far away, send the private link with a short message, and call him after he’s heard it.
