Terms of Service

1. Who we are
Serenada ("we", "us") creates original, personalised songs from information you give us. Our website is getserenada.com. You can reach us at hello@getserenada.com.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy LLC, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. Your payment is made to Lemon Squeezy, and their terms also apply to the transaction.
2. What you are buying
When you place an order, you are buying an original song created from the story you tell us, together with a private web page where it can be played and downloaded. Depending on the option you choose, the song is performed by one of our synthetic voices or by a voice model created from a recording you supply.
Every song is generated using artificial intelligence. It is not performed by a human musician, and it is not a recording of an existing song.
3. What we will not do
We do not create covers, remixes, sound-alikes or "in the style of" versions of existing songs or recording artists. We do not use the names of real musicians in lyrics or prompts. Every song we deliver is a new work.
If you ask for any of these things, we will decline and you may still be charged for work already carried out.
4. Your account and your email address
You do not need to create an account. We use the email address you provide at checkout to send you your song and to contact you about your order.
5. What you must promise us
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- The information, recordings and photographs you upload are yours to use, or you have permission from the people in them.
- If you upload a voice recording to be used as a singing voice, that voice is your own. You may not upload a recording of another person's voice, living or dead, for any reason.
- Your content does not contain anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or intended to impersonate or defame another person.
- You will not use Serenada to create content about a person who has asked you not to, or to harass anyone.
We may refuse or cancel any order that breaches these terms, and we may report unlawful content to the authorities.
6. Who owns the song
You do. Once your order is paid for and delivered, you own the song we make for you and may use it however you like, including playing it publicly, posting it online, or using it in a video.
We keep the right to use anonymised, non-identifying information about orders to improve the service. We will never use your song, your recording, your photographs or your story in our marketing without asking you first and getting your agreement in writing.
7. Voice recordings
If you choose to have the song sung in your own voice, you will be asked to record a short sample and to confirm that the voice is yours.
That recording is used for one purpose only: creating your song. It is deleted within 30 days. We do not use it to train models, we do not use it for other customers, and we do not share it.
8. Revisions, redos and re-renders
- You see the memories we extracted and the draft lyrics before any music is made, and you must approve them.
- You get one free lyric revision.
- Once approved, you receive two takes of the song, and one free redo if neither is right.
- Further song regenerations are charged, because each one costs us money to produce.
- Photo videos may be re-rendered three times free, then at the price shown at the time.
9. Delivery
Lyrics are usually ready within minutes of payment. The song is usually ready within minutes of you approving the lyrics. These are estimates, not guarantees. Occasionally a step fails or a queue is busy; if your order is materially delayed, email us.
10. How long we keep your song
Your private song page stays live for 12 months from delivery. After that, any video and the photographs behind it are removed, and the audio file is kept. Download your song and keep your own copy. We are not a storage service and we cannot guarantee indefinite availability.
Your original recording and any voice sample are deleted 30 days after delivery, because we no longer need them once the song exists.
Your photographs are kept for 12 months, so that you can re-render your video in a different shape or order during that time. They are deleted with the video.
11. Nothing is unlimited
Every plan has the limits described on the page at the time of purchase. Where a plan includes a number of songs per month, unused songs do not carry over.
12. Availability and things going wrong
We will try to keep Serenada available, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We depend on third-party providers, and their outages affect us.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Serenada is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including disappointment, missed occasions, or loss of data you did not keep a copy of.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published on getserenada.com when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Delhi have jurisdiction, except where the consumer protection law of your own country gives you rights that cannot be removed by agreement.
